Crime Victim Services

Consejo's Crime Victims Services Program provides community and legal advocacy services to victims of other general crimes, apart from the crimes of domestic violence and sexual assault. Consejo's Crime Victims Services can include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting non- or limited English-language proficient clients to understand their rights;

  • Providing clients with an explanation and overview of the U.S. legal system;

  • Referral to family law services, as available and appropriate;

  • Obtain basic needs assistance, such as shelter, food;

  • Access community resources;

  • Referral to obtain immigration relief, as available and appropriate; and

  • Determine their eligibility for Crime Victim's Compensation benefits.
