Children/Families

Consejo provides behavioral health services to children/adolescents under 18 years of age and their families. Children are referred to Consejo for services from schools, daycares, hospitals, juvenile detention, Child Protective Services (CPS), other departments within Consejo and self-referral. Consejo recovery services integrate the family voice throughout delivery and focuses on the needs and goals identified by the family and their priorities. Treatment goals and desired outcomes are mutually defined, as are resources needed to achieve them. Consejo also utilizes existing and potential natural supports to enhance family treatment services. Available services include but are not limited to:

  • Psychiatric evaluation
  • Individual mental health therapy
  • Family therapy
  • Case management
  • Behavior management
  • Medication management
  • Play therapy
  • Effective Parenting Classes
  • Peer Support Groups for parents
  • Family reconciliation and preservation services
  • Mobile school- and home-based services
  • Crisis Services
  • Special Population Evaluations
